mini-Model Security Council

It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to participate in the first Model Security Council organized by KN Universum on April 26th.

The whole idea of Model United Nations (MUN) is to try to study the policy of the country related to the topic discussed and then represent the country as if one were a real diplomat appointed by its government. It requires, on one hand, extended preparation before the conference and on the other appropriate behavior during the conference itself (courtesy, using appropriate phrases etc.). These two aspects are the conditions of the successful participation in the conference.

It is expected that the outcome of the work of each committee would be the resolution passed. The resolution must follow the proper UN resolution format and should contain substantive ideas how to solve the problem at hand. It is not however so, that if no resolution is passed, the whole committee fails and the conference cannot be considered as successful. Sometimes the lack of a resolution is the indicator of good preparation of participants, especially if in reality no resolution can be passed on the given topic due to contradictory interests of countries involved.
